Article: Why Are You Rushing?

Why Are You Rushing?

Why Are You Rushing?

We live in a world that makes us feel like everything has to happen right now.

The relationship. The career. The money. The business. The healing. The breakthrough.

Everywhere we look, we are reminded of where we should be by now. And before we know it, we start comparing our timeline to everyone else's.

But why are you rushing?

Sometimes we become so focused on reaching the destination that we miss what God is trying to teach us along the way.

When we move too quickly, we can miss important lessons, people, opportunities, and even warnings. Not everything that takes longer is delayed.

Some things simply require time.

Rushing can also lead us into decisions we may not have made if we had given ourselves time to think, pray, observe, and discern. There is wisdom in slowing down. There is peace in allowing people to reveal themselves, opportunities to develop, and our own ideas and character to mature.

Sometimes you are not waiting for the thing.

You are becoming ready for it.

Scripture reminds us, “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1).

Waiting does not mean doing nothing. We can pray, prepare, grow, and remain faithful while God works on the things we cannot see.

So breathe.

You are allowed to take your time. You do not have to arrive at the same time as everyone else. You do not have to rush simply because something is taking longer than you expected.

There are things that only time can reveal, heal, strengthen, and prepare.

Trust the process. Trust the season. Most importantly, trust God's timing.

What He has for you does not need panic, pressure, or desperation to find you.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is patiently prepare and let time do what only time can do.

With love,
Linda
