Don’t Let the Wait Lower Your Standards
Sometimes waiting can make us question what we want.
The longer we wait, the easier it becomes to think, Maybe I’m asking for too much. Maybe I should just accept what’s available.
But a delay does not mean your desire is impossible.
If you desire consistency and you are consistent, if you desire love and you know how to love deeply, if you value effort, growth, stability, or purpose and you are actively building those things within yourself, don’t convince yourself that you’re asking for too much.
Your standards should not be based on what has been offered to you so far. They should be rooted in what you value and what you are willing to give yourself.
And yes, waiting is hard.
Especially when you see other people receiving what you’ve been praying for. Especially when something less than what you want comes along and says, “Well, I’m here.”
But being available doesn’t automatically mean being aligned.
So while you wait, keep becoming. Keep building. Keep healing. Keep walking in your purpose.
Build a life you’re proud of while trusting that what belongs in that life will meet you there.
Don’t let impatience convince you to settle for something your spirit already knows isn’t right.
You don’t have to shrink your desires just because they haven’t happened yet.
Be patient enough to recognize the difference between what is simply available and what is truly aligned.
With love,
Linda
